Train derails in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. — Emergency crews responded to a train derailment in Randolph County on Wednesday afternoon.

Between 13 and 17 cars went off the rails on County Road 1000 West between State Road 32 and County Road 100 North.

That’s on the south side of Monroe Central Jr./Sr. High School.

No injuries were reported.

Randolph County Emergency Management said the cars were empty.

County Road 1000 West is closed for the time being.
