Starting on Daybreak at 4 a.m., we’re answering these questions:
- What are the hazards hidden in your home?
- Are expired medicines dangerous?
- What common things do you have that could look like poisons?
- And should you diagnosis yourself from a website or app? We uncover if that’s harmful or helpful to doctors.
At 8 a.m. is a special Operational Safety edition of Daybreak. In addition to weather and traffic, we’ll have demonstrations on installing car seats, performing the newest CPR techniques and how to properly perform the Heimlich maneuver.
Also, would you be safe if a fire broke out in your home? We take a look at the escape plan everyone should have. And, we’ll explain which smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector is right for your house and how to properly install it.
Submit your questions via the WISH-TV Facebook page or by tweeting with #OperationSafety, and we’ll have safety experts live to answer your questions.
Then from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., we’ll tackle the important issue of Internet safety. With sexual predators lurking online, we’ll explain how your safety starts at home.
We’ll also investigate the new ways you can protect yourself while on the web or even on your phone. We’ll tell you the three apps every parent should have.
At 10 p.m., we’ll share the emotional message from a step-father who lost his 13-year-old son. He shares his message about guns, and we look at safety steps everyone should know.
