West Newton man arrested, charged with possessing child porn

WEST NEWTON, Ind. (WISH) — One man was arrested by Indiana Conservation Officers and is being accused of possessing child pornography.

34-year-old Allan Brown-Newberry was arrested for possession of child pornography.

After the investigation originated with conservation officers with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, multiple law enforcement agencies arrived at the home of Brown-Newberry on Oct.7, where he was arrested.

When authorities arrived at the scene after a complaint of illegal dumping, one officer noticed Brown-Newberry in his vehicle. After a search, there was a laptop discovered with what appeared to be child porn on the screen.

A search warrant turned up multiple devices with illegal content.

Brown-Newberry was booked into the Wayne County Jail and was later transported to Marion County Jail.

He has been charged with possession of child pornography, a level 6 felony.
