According to the preliminary crash report, Lori Herrell, 44, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on County Road 100 West and Andrez McGee, 37, was driving a Dodge pickup truck westbound on County Road 1200 North. Police say that 10-year-old Sara Herrell, the front seat passenger in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lori Herrell was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. Police say she suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police were still investigating the crash on Thursday morning. They believe alcohol may be a factor.
