Filming continues on Indianapolis movie

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Filming continued Sunday on a feature-length movie being shot in Indianapolis.

Organizers say it’s the first feature film shot entirely in the city.

We first told you about “Car 86” last week.

The science fiction thriller is entirely based in Indianapolis.

A majority of the cast is local and the writer and producer are both IU graduates.

The executive producer is the mastermind behind the “Final Destination” trilogy.

“The whole story is set here, and the city is integral to the story,” executive producer Jeffrey Reddick said. “The city is a character in itself so once it started it was very important for me to make sure that we got to shoot here.”

Reddick says he plans to try to film more movies in Indianapolis.

Filming will last roughly another week.

The movie is expected to open next year. If you see it, keep an eye out for a few WISH-TV personalities playing newscasters in the film.
