Hancock County burglary suspects arrested in South Dakota
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Hancock County say a pair of burglary suspects have been arrested in South Dakota.
Police say 28-year-old Janelle Perkins and 26-year-old Korey Sawicki were arrested in Rapid City South Dakota after they received several tips from the public.
The two suspects were wanted for a burglary to residence in late October where they were captured on a surveillance camera, according to police. The suspects are also facing charges in Rapid City after leading police on a pursuit that resulted in a crash.
Sawicki also has an active parole warrant in Indianapolis. Both suspects will be extradited back to Indiana at a later time to face charges here.
Detectives are still trying to determine if the suspects were involved in other recent burglaries in Hancock County and central Indiana.
