One shot on city’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was shot multiple times and the suspect is still on the loose.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. at the Arborstone Apartments near 38th Street and Post Road on the city’s east side.
Police say 32-year old Steven Whitney suffered multiple gun shot wounds to the hip and leg areas. He was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries in stable condition.
According to authorities, Whitney told investigators that he and another person walked to a gas station for cigarettes. On their way back, Whitney heard gun shots and then felt pain in his hip, after being shot.
Whitney told authorities that he didn’t know why he was targeted and that he never saw the suspect or suspects.
