The Rugged Company: A store for men that’s approved by women

It’s a store with a story. We wanted to hear it, so we went straight to the source. Corey Cole, owner of The Rugged Company, shares how appeasing both men and women’s tastes in style all started with a trip to the mall.

Here’s Corey’s story, in his own words:

Rugged Company all started when my wife and I were on our date night. We had gone shopping around the mall [Yeah, I know… Real manly right? It was Valentine’s Day- I had to let her shop] and then to dinner. We started dreaming of our future [as we always do] and all of a sudden it hit me- my future could be my present [just a little, well a lot, more manly]. Shopping. Yes, shopping. Women have stores, malls, boutiques, outlets everywhere! A store for clothes, a store for shoes, a store for purses, even a store for underwear! What about men? I need a place where I can get manly things! I mean, let’s be honest, we need things too. Why not have a place where you can go and not feel like you left your Man Card in the cash register along with all your money?

So there it started. A place for men to be men. Ladies, we know it’s easy for you to shop, but we want you to feel comfortable in our stores too. That’s why we are Women Approved. We got to have a place for us guys, but when it comes to birthdays and Christmas – now you know where to look! And you can walk out confident knowing your man will be happy with what you got him.
