Chocolate prices rise; IRS expects better tax season

(WISH) – Chocolate prices are on the rise as demand increases and production slows.

Cocoa prices have soared nearly 40 percent since 2012, and food companies are working with farmers to increase efficiency on their farms.

In other financial news, mortgage rates are the lowest they’ve been since November, and the IRS is expecting a better tax season than last year.

The IRS says wait times for phone calls should be reduced this year due to additional hires. Last year, the average wait time on the phone was 23 minutes. Fewer audits are also expected.
