Texas residents line up for low gas price
SUNRAY, TEXAS. (WISH) – Some residents in Sunray Texas hit the jackpot with gas well below $1.
It’s likely a price many haven’t seen before – gas for 39 cents a gallon. People were lining up to get gas for that price.
It was part of a promotion by AG Producers Co-Op, which is a Co-Op for grain farmers.
The promotion was made easier by falling oil prices. Crude oil dropped to around $30 a barrel, thanks largely to a boom in U.S. oil production.
The last time gas was this cheap was in 1969.
