Indiana State Department of Health doctor talks Zika

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Health officials have issued several warnings about the Zika virus.

It was recently learned that the virus was spread to an individual by sexual transmission.

In order to provide some clarity and information about the virus, a doctor with the Indiana State Department of Health stopped by Daybreak.

Dr. Jen Brown talked about a variety of issues and concerns surrounding the virus.

Among the things Dr. Brown discussed were the other ways the virus can be spread and if someone is planning to travel, how they should protect themselves.
