Police asking for help in coin machine thefts

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has asked for the public to help them identify a group of people that have broken into and destroyed Coin Star change kiosks in central Indiana.

In the past few months several Coin Star kiosks that have been i local businesses have been broken into and had the change inside removed.

The suspects told store employees they were there to clean and repair the machines.

Instead they would cause several thousands of dollars in damage to the machines and steal an undetermined amount of money.
