Indiana State Police officer talks active shooter training

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Knowing what to do and how to react can and does save lives during emergency situations.

That Indiana State Police is taking steps to help those who may find themselves in an active shooter situation.

Indiana State Police trooper john Perrine was on Daybreak to talk about active shooter training event held by the Indiana State Police.

Among the topics discussed are accurately defining an active situation and some of the things to remember in the event that someone finds themselves in such a dangerous positions.
