106-year-old visits White House, dances with Obamas
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WISH) – A 106-year-old woman’s very happy visit to the White House is going viral on the Internet.
Virginia McLaurin says she fulfilled a lifelong dream this weekend: she met the President and First Lady.
She was there as part of Black History Month celebrations.
McLaurin lives in Washington, D.C. and says she’s always wanted to visit the White House.
“I thought I would never live to get in the White House,” she said. “I am so happy.”
The White House posted video of her arrival on Facebook Sunday night. It’s been viewed tens of millions of times.
