Indy 500 super fan was first in line for nearly 40 years

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — A longtime racing fan had a tradition of being first line when Indianapolis Motor Speedway opened for the month of May.

Larry Biscegelia lined up every year from 1950 to 1987.

For nearly four decades, he drove his brown Chevy truck from Chicago to IMS each year.

He was eventually granted lifetime admission and garage and pit access by speedway officials.
