Monroe County inmate dies after jump
MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – An inmate at the Monroe County Correction Center has died after a jump.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Favor jumped from the upper level in his cell block on late Saturday morning.
It was at that time, police said, that Favor was taken to IU Health Bloomington in critical condition for his injuries sustained in the fall.
Police said Favor passed away just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
Favor had been in the Monroe County Correction Center since Wednesday March 23 for a parole violation and possession of methamphetamine.
