FBI breaks into San Bernandino killers iPhone

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The federal government says it no longer needs Apple’s help to get into one of the San Bernandino killers phone, and the Anthem-cigna megamerger comes under scrutiny Tuesday.

According to the government, a third party has successfully broke into an iPhone used by the San Bernardino killer, Syed Rizwan Farook.

This comes after Apple refused to assist the FBI in its investigation due to privacy worries.

In other business news, Anthem’s proposed $54 billion acquisition of cigna, which would create the country’s largest health insurer, faces scrutiny Tuesday.

California regulators will hold a public hearing in San Francisco to address concerns about the megamerger.

Critics argue the merger would reduce competition, increase rates and make it harder for patients to find doctors.
