Hot or cold, the race goes on

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis 500 has seen many different race day temperatures.

The hottest day on record was 92 degrees. That record was set on May 31, 1937. Wilbur Shaw won the race.

The coldest day was recorded in 1992. They had a high of 58 degrees when Al Unser Jr. won the race.
