INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It’s a visual welcome to the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

33 Hoosier artists created unique pieces welcoming visitors to the city ahead of the race.

Artists were allowed to use their creativity, however, every piece had to incorporate the phrase, “welcome race fans” into the artwork.

The pieces were on display at the Artsgarden Thursday, but starting Friday they will be moved and displayed throughout the city in different places such as along Mass Ave. and at the Indianapolis International Airport.
