Mr. York has been the mayor in New Castle for 5 years and has made an immediate impact on his staff and the citizens in New Castle for having the reputation of fixing the problems that most politicians are scared to do. Missy Modesitt said, “MANY days, Mayor York can be found outside working hard to make sure our city looks its best. Just as an example, today he was on the courthouse lawn taking down decorations. I would guess that many Indiana mayors were sitting in nice, warm, comfy offices on this cold January day! The Mayor and his staff are responsible to 18,000+ customers and pleasing them all is impossible, but I believe they go above and beyond each and every day to give top notch customer service. We are fortunate to have elected officials and city staff who care so much about our city.”
