Purdue police investigating report of sexual assault near campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) – Purdue University Police Department is investigating a report of sexual assault near the Lafayette campus. The university says this is the third sexual offense reported this week.

University police said the sexual assault happened around 2 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of W. Wood Street.

There have been no updates on the incident as of Friday afternoon.

University police said previous to Friday morning’s report, Purdue has had three sexual offenses reported this week; Each of them reportedly occurred during the fall semester.
