Poll: What kind of smoke alarm do you have at home?

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Over 100 people in Indianapolis have died in fires over the past 11 years and many of those are because there were no working smoke alarms in the home.

A city ordinance in Indianapolis passed in 2014 that requires each home to have a smoke detector within 10 years.

If you have a smoke alarm, which one is the best or activates the fastest to alert you to a problem? The Wayne Township Fire Department teamed up with WISH-TV to put various styles of smoke alarms to the test.

On Thursday at 6 a.m. on Daybreak, the Wayne Township Fire Department will put several smoke alarms to the test.
