INDOT hopes drivers will ‘Slow Down, Save a Life’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indiana Department of Transportation, highway construction industry and safety partners came together to kick of the start of highway construction for the season.

The event was aimed to help raise awareness for motorists to drive safe in work zones.

INDOT said that safety is the top priority to makes sure the construction season is successful. Hardhats among workers are strongly encouraged and drovers are told to slow down as part of INDOT’s latest campaign “Slow Down, Save A Life.”

INDOT hopes with more awareness they can bring the number of fatalities to zero.
