FWPD busts meth lab at inn, 6 arrested

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Six people were arrested on meth-related charges after police detectives busted a meth lab.

The Fort Wayne Police Department Meth Suppression Team was investigating a tip at the Economy Inn, located at 3340 W. Coliseum Blvd.

On Friday around 6 p.m., detectives entered a room at the business and found an active meth lab and six people inside.

The room was condemned by the Allen County Board of Health and Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code. The Fort Wayne Fire Department also cited the business.

This meth lab is the 28th handled by the Meth Suppression Team so far in 2016. That number is up by 10 compared to the same date last year.

The people charged in this bust are:

  • David Lachester Koker, 32
  • Regina Kay Barker,43
  • Savannah Danielle Martin, 18
  • Cedric Larinzo Edwards, 29
  • Alisha Rochelle Chilton, 27
  • Alison Marie Governo, 25

Koker faces felony charges for violating parole, manufacturing meth, possessing a syringe, dealing spice and maintaining a common nuisance. Barker also faces felony charges for manufacturing meth, possessing a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance. Martin, Edwards, Chilton and Governo all face charges for visiting a common nuisance.

The incident is under investigation by the FWPD Vice and Narcotics Bureau.
