Car crashes into pond on city’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police and emergency crews were on the scene of a car into a retention pond on the city’s south side.

The crash happened around 6:50 a.m. at South Harding Street and Bluff Road.

Chopper 8 flew over the scene and found a car had gone off the roadway into a retention pond. The car was on it’s side.

The driver of the car was able to make it out of the vehicle and medics were checking them out on the scene.

Harding Street was blocked in both directions as crews worked to get the vehicle out of the pond.
