Police make arrest in Franklin hit-and-run that injured 3

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Franklin have made an arrest in a January hit-and-run that left three people seriously injured.

Police arrested 29-year-old Will E. Slinger on preliminary charges of failure to stop after a motor vehicle accident causing serious bodily injury to another person.

The crash happened on King Street near Middleton on Jan. 23.

Just last week police released a photo of a vehicle they believe was the suspects. The vehicle matched a description given by witnesses. The SUV was captured by surveillance video thanks to a nearby business just minutes after the crash.

On Monday, Slinger went to the police station to speak with the detective about the case. After speaking with the detective Slinger was taken into custody.

Other details about the arrest weren’t immediately released.
