Columbus man arrested for possession of methamphetamine

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – A man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine Thursday evening.

According to 24-Hour News 8’s partner, Columbus Republic, Eric Caldwell, 38, was arrested during a traffic stop in the 100 block of Gladstone Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

A Columbus Police spokesman said Caldwell was pulled over after the officer learned he had a suspended driver’s license.

The officer who pulled Caldwell over found two syringes on the vehicle’s passenger seat, and a syringe in the vehicle’s glove compartment. Police said one of the syringes found had a small amount of liquid. After they tested it, the syringe tested positive for methamphetamine.
