Chelsea Clinton campaigns for her mom in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Chelsea Clinton stopped in Indianapolis Friday afternoon. She made a stop at her mom’s campaign office on North Keystone Avenue.

The very pregnant Clinton, who is due to give birth to her second child this summer, told the group that becoming a mom made everything more personal. At the top of her agenda was women’s rights.

More than 200 people showed up, which is less than half the crowd that came out to see her dad, former president Bill Clinton on Tuesday.

Chelsea told the crowd she was “intensely all in for her mom.” She supported her mom pointing out that Hillary fought for universal healthcare in the early 90s. She says the Affordable Care Act is a testament to Hillary being a problem solver and a fighter.

She called her mom a leader in the fight for women’s rights and says Hillary would back Supreme Court justices who support Roe v Wade.

She didn’t have much to say about Bernie Sanders, but had plenty to say about Donald Trump.

“It’s important for all of us who don’t feel like Mr. Trump’s rhetoric of sexism  and racism and Islama-phobia and anti immigration hatred stance, has no place in our country,” she said.

Chelsea started her day in Louisville, Kentucky and Indianapolis was her last stop. She says she’s headed back home and will be back at it again, Monday in West Virginia.

Indiana’s primary is May 3.
