FSIS recalls thousands of pounds of beef products

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Approximately 84,340 pounds of two beef products are being recalled.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Thursday ConAgra Foods Packaged Food, LLC is recalling the products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The frozen beef items were produced between April 13 and April 14.

The following products are being recalled:

  • 14 ounce box of Marie Callender’s Salisbury Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Home-Style Gravy served with Cheesy Broccoli & Cauliflower
  • 76 ounce box of Molly’s Kitchen Macaroni & Beef with Tomato Sauce

The Marie Callender’s product was shipped to retail distribution centers nationwide, and the Molly’s Kitchen product was shipped to an institutional customer nationwide.

The issue was discovered when an error associated with a shipment of Worcestershire sauce was miscoded as Rochester sauce, and the establishment used the miscoded sauce in the recalled products.

There have been no reports made of adverse reactions.

Customers are urged to not eat the products and either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
