Anticipation for historic race too much for some fans

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 is just hours from start.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway opened its gates to fans just before 6 a.m. with the annual cannon blast.

Soon after fans began entering IMS to find their seats for the historic race.

However, the anticipation of the 100th running was too much for some fans to take and they needed time to recuperate before the race starts.
