Can you improv? It’s a skill that’s been mastered by the crew with CSzIndianapolis, Home of ComedySportz. This year, they’re hosting the 2016 ComedySportz World Championship at The Basile Theatre, located inside the Historic Athenaeum Building in downtown Indianapolis. Today on Indy Style, they teach Tracy a thing or two about improv…… today’s location? Starbucks!
2016 ComedySportz World Championship:
Teams from across the country and Europe meet in Indianapolis to battle in a series of madcap improvisation matches, city verses city, to test their improv mettle. Only one city will remain standing, triumphant, over all other CSz cities to claim the title of ComedySportz World Champions and take home the Championship Trophy.
Billed as the largest comedy event Indianapolis has ever seen, the 2016 World Championships hosts over 20 cities from around the globe, with over 250 professional improvisers, for a week-long event of workshops and public matches. In addition to fierce competition every night, this yearly event gives players the opportunity to network and attend workshops throughout the day and showcase their skills in presentations that are available to all attending performers.
Tickets can be purchased individually to each public match, or guests may choose a Day Pass, or a Super Fan Pass to see every match. Tickets can be purchased online at cszindianapolis.com or by calling the Box Office at 317-951-8499. All public matches are located at The Basile Theatre at the Historic Athenaeum, 401 East Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Doors open 30 minutes before each match, with a full-service cash bar, snacks and merchandise available for purchase.
