Authorities recover body of man from northern Indiana lake
LAPORTE, Ind. (AP) – Authorities have recovered the body of a man who appears to have drowned in Pine Lake in LaPorte.
Department of Natural Resources Sgt. Shawn Brown says 21-year-old Jeremy Dabney of Gary apparently drowned Friday night after jumping from a pontoon boat for a swim with friends.
Indiana conservation officers used sonar equipment in the overnight search for his body.
The Munster Times reports an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
