Local police warning of counterfeit bills at yard sales
PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — Local police have a warning for anyone hosting a garage sale this summer.
Police in Plainfield says they’ve taken several reports of counterfeit $20 bills being passed at yard sales.
The fake bills are used to buy low-priced items so that real money is given back as change.
Police say the suspect has been described as a woman driving a red Jeep Wrangler.
