White River State Park offering 31 days of live music

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – White River State Park is offering 31 days of live music this summer.

The 31 days of music runs from June through August.

“Families are going to love the attractions’ later hours and the variety of music being offered,” said Carolene Mays-Medley, executive director of White River State Park. “The Park is a great place to be on summer evenings.”

Here’s a full lineup of the concerts at White River State Park:

Summer Under the Sails Music Series at the Eiteljorg – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays through August 3:

  • June 15 – Tad Robinson, blues
  • June 22 – Frank Dean, country
  • June 29 – Pork and Beans Brass Band, New Orleans-style brass band
  • July 6 – Coolidge, rock and post-punk pop
  • July 13 – Soundz of Santana, a Carols Santana tribute band
  • July 20 – Sweet Poison Victim, Afro-beat
  • July 27 – Audiodacity, rock, pop, funk and eclectic
  • August 3 – El Troubadour, sci-fi and world folk

Zoolapalooza Concert Series is every Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from June 17 through July 8:

  • June 17 – Airstream Betty, a female trio singing modern country and Americana influenced by Miranda Lambert, the Dixie Chicks, the Eagles and more.
  • June 24 – Tim Brickley and the List, rock, ’70s one-hit wonders and other hit songs.
  • July 1 – Dave & Rae, rock, pop, disco, county and hip-hop.
  • July 8 – Parrots of the Caribbean, Jimmy Buffet tribute act.

Animals & All That Jazz is every Thursday night from July 7 through August 4:

  • July 7 – Tucker Brothers Band, a young, talented quartet led by Joel and Nick Tucker.
  • July 14 – DM Jazz 8, featuring Indiana Hall of Famer Gene Markiewicz and Rich Dole anchoring an eight-member band with a traditional, big band feel.
  • July 21 – Ty Causey, a six-piece band blending smooth jazz and R&B with a sound reminiscent of Marvin Gaye.
  • July 28 – Craig Brenner & the Crawdads, New Orleans blues, R&B, swing and jazz.
  • August 4 – Cathy Morris and Brazilian Jazz, unique electric violin and vocal performances.

The Harrison College Concert Series at The Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park continue through Labor Day:
