Local singer Jason Brown performs
He’s been a part of the Indy music scene since 1992, originally as the front-man for the popular Indy band Push Down & Turn. Singer/songwriter Jason Brown chats with Amber this morning about the former band’s reunion show @ the Vogue in April and his first solo EP called ‘Songs Sung True,’ released 2014. This week, Jason releases his new song ‘Shine Sun Shine’. It’s his first time working with local producer and musician Thom Daugherty (The Elms, The Band Perry).
Tonight, Jason has a show (Thursday, June 16th) at the Ale Emporium in Castleton with his band. Free event but 21 and over only. Out on the patio weather permitting. Jason also hosts ‘After Work Wednesdays with Jason Brown,’ which occurs the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Rathskeller. This month he’s invited (friend of IndyStyle) Brett Wiscons to join. They’ll play an early set out in the Biergarten from 5-7pm.
