ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Some quick thinking helped saved some times at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino Tuesday evening.

During the fifth race on the 14 race card, there was an equipment malfunction involving driver Trace Tetrick and his horse Jds.

In what was a very dangerous situation, Tertrick found himself unable to steer or stop the horse.

However, Hoosier Parks’ outrider Neal Stalheim and his horse Pocco were able to come to the rescue.

Stalheim was able to grab hold of Jds and then guided him and Tetrick to safety.
