Committee chooses Bicentennial mural winner

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – The Bicentennial mural winner has been chosen.

The Mural Review Committee selected a design to be put inside the city garage at the entrance to Friendship Way.

The design titled, “Kaleidoscopic View” was created by Cristina Tuttle.

“It is the hope of the Mural Review Committee that Ms. Tuttle’s design is preserved and celebrated for many years to come as a celebration of our 200 years of Columbus history and the city’s stature as the sixth most acclaimed architectural gem in the country,” said Lloyd Brooks, Program Chair for the School of Art & Design at Ivy Tech Community College.

The project is intended to be a destination for visitors and a gateway to the downtown retail and arts community.

Tuttle’s design will be recognized September 18 at the City Bicentennial Celebration.
