Central Indiana police departments hosting National Night Out events

(WISH) – National Night Out will celebrate 33 years of bringing the community and police together to make each neighborhood a safer place. This year several police departments from around central Indiana are participating.

Below is a list of departments participating by county:

  • Brown County

    • Nashville – Oct. 4 on Main and Jefferson from 5-9 p.m.
  • Bartholomew County

    • Columbus – July 30 from 5-8 p.m. in the Lowes parking lot. Fire department will be on hand for safety seat inspections.
  • Boone County

    • Whitestown – Aug. 2 from 4-8 p.m. at the Whitestown Municipal Complex.
  • Hamilton County

    • Carmel – Aug. 2 at the Carmel Gazebo from 6-8 p.m.
    • Fishers – Aug. 2 in the Nickle Plate District from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Hendricks County

    • Avon – Aug 2. in the Lowes parking lot from 4-8 p.m.
    • Brownsburg – Aug. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at the Brownsburg Police Department
    • Danville – Aug. 2 at the Danville Courthouse Square from 5-8:30 p.m.
    • Plainfield – Aug. 2 will host events in different neighborhood watch communities.
  • Howard County

    • Kokomo – July 26 events will be held throughout the city.
  • Johnson County

    • Franklin – Aug. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Franklin Parks & Recreation
    • Greenwood – Aug. 6 in the Tuscany Village neighborhood from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
    • New Whiteland and Whiteland – Aug. 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Of Whitestown Municipal Complex.
  • Marion County

    • Beech Grove – Aug. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at City Park
    • Cumberland – Aug. 2 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department.
    • Homecroft – Aug. 2 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Homecroft Elementary School.
    • Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department – Aug 2. at multiple locations

      • The Lord’s Pantry from 6-9 p.m.
      • Mars Hill at the George Goodwin Center from 5-8 p.m.
      • Butler-Tarkington at 260 Berkely Road from 5:30 -8 p.m.
      • Oxford Neighborhood Association at Washington Park from 6-9 p.m.
      • Mapleton Fall Creek at Al Polin Park from 5-7 p.m.
      • Crown Hill Cemetery from 6-9 p.m.
      • Oak Hill Civic Association at Douglass Family Center from 6-7 p.m.
      • Garfield Park from 6-8 p.m.
    • Lawrence – Aug. 2 at multiple locations.

      • 6:30-8 p.m. at 7825 E. 52nd Street
      • 6-8:30 p.m. at corner of Drum Road and Barksdale Way in Benjamin Square.
      • 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Boston Commons at Somerville and Putnam roads.
      • 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Brookhaven in the 5200 block of N. Shadeland Avenue.
      • 6-7 p.m. at Canterbury House Apartments at 7955 Kingsmead Drive.
      • 6-8 p.m. at the Historic Standish Estates at 8342 E. 56th Street.
      • 6-9 p.m. at the Hunt Club at 5421 Calder Way.
      • 5-7 p.m. at Maison Gardens at 8808 Rue Madeleine.
    • Speedway – Oct. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Meadowood Park
    • Southport – Aug. 2 from 5:30-9 p.m. at Southport Park and Community Room.
  • Montgomery County

    • Crawfordsville – Aug. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Milligan Park
  • Tippecanoe County

    • Lafayette – Aug. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Columbian Park.
