Outreach breaks ground on new homeless center for youth

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An Indianapolis outreach organization broke ground on a brand new center for homeless youth.

Outreach on the city’s east side has been helping homeless find a safe place for more than 20 years. They hope the new building will better serve their needs to help keep youth off the streets.

The ground breaking ceremony on the new 12,00 square foot building took place at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Outreach says that every week around 100 youth come to Outreach for help.

Group Facilitator Kara Hanley says “I cannot wait for the new building. The new space will provide the elbow room we need and allow us to better meet the needs of our youth.”
