Former Colts fullback arrested after cutting wife with knife

FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) – The Fishers Police Department arrested a former Colts player after a domestic dispute.

According to police, 45-year-old Roosevelt Potts was arrested Thursday morning after dispatch received a call from a woman that reported her husband, Potts, had cut her with a knife.

Officers were sent to the home in the 10400 block of Bicknell Circle shortly after 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they met with Potts and his wife. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene. Potts was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Potts faces domestic battery and criminal recklessness.

Potts  played fullback for five seasons from 1993 to 1998 for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens.
