IPL finishing final repairs to restore power after Friday’s storms
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Power and Light Company (IPL), plans to finish final repairs to restore power after Friday’s storms.
About 45,000 people lost power after the heavy rain passed through. IPL said more than 450 people have been working throughout the weekend to restore power.
About 1,100 customers are still in the dark, and more of them are on the north and northeast sides of Indianapolis.
IPL said that’s where the storm caused the most damage to electrical equipment.
