Police identify human remains found in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department has identified the human remains that were found in the southern part of Shelby County.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department said the remains have been identified as Nicolle R. Olmstead, 33 of Columbus, Indiana.

Olmstead was reported missing to the Columbus Police department on July 12 and had last been seen on July 1 in Columbus.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death.
