INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Girl Scouts of Central Indiana are celebrating the grand opening of a new facility. The new location is on the Camp Dellwood Property on North Girls School Road.

Officials say the new Leadership and Learning Center will provide a central environment for volunteer learning opportunities and large collaborations, and modern technology for adult learning.

“We’ll be here all the time. Our main focus is 18,000 adults who will then impact the life for 40,000 girls,” said Deborah Hearn Smith with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.

The local Girl Scout organization had always leased space for volunteers and staff to gather together since the first troop began in 1917. This is the first space of their own specifically for the leaders
