Northeast side church holds Victory Over Violence Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis church is trying to bring law enforcement and the community together.

The Church of Glory on Forest Manor Avenue and East 33rd Street held a Victory Over Violence Day.

There was free food, games and bounce houses.

The church pastor says it’s an effort to let law enforcement and the neighborhood know that they all need to work together to cut down on crime.

He urged everyone to do what they can for the community.
