1 person injured in post nightclub shootout

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) —  IMPD is investigating a shooting that occurred outside after a nightclub let out early Sunday that resulted in one woman being transported to Community East Hospital.

The woman was later transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital for surgery.

Authorities say the shooting happened outside on East 25th Street and Sherman Drive just before 5 a.m.Sunday morning.

Police are still investigating, but believe the shooting was the result of an argument that got out of control.

It is believed that about six people began shooting numerous rounds.

One suspect has come to the attention of authorities, but his name is unknown at this time.Stay with WISH-TV for updates.
