Umbrella blamed for car crashing into east side home
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An umbrella is being blamed for an accident that sent a car crashing into a home on the east side of Indianapolis on Sunday.
It happened around 7 p.m. in the 7900 block of Cross Willow Boulevard, near Brookville Road and South Franklin Road.
According to officials, a woman behind the wheel of a Ford Focus swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle. That’s when she says an umbrella got stuck under the pedals.
No one was seriously injured.
Damage to the home is estimated at $30,000.
