INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Crews responded to a west side residence fire Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, a call came into dispatch about a reported house fire just after 2 p.m.
Crews later arrived on scene in the 1000 block of North Eleanor Street around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
After arriving on scene, crews initially spotted smoke coming from the structure.
The fire was under control approximately 15 minutes after firefighters began fighting the flames.
It was determined later that none of the residence were home at the time. No injuries were reported.
Damage has been estimated at $50,000.
Investigators have determined that cause of the fire was a faulty electrical outlet.
