Lawrence Police searching for Marsh robbery suspect
LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) – The Lawrence Police Department is asking the public to help identify a robbery suspect.
According to police, the robbery happened at the Marsh located at 5104 North Franklin Road on Sept. 4 at 9:11 p.m.
Marsh employees told police a male suspect approached the register as if they were making a purchase. When the employee opened the cash register to get change, the suspect told them, “I’ll need all the money out of the register and I don’t want to get violent, but I do have a gun.”
After the employee gave the suspect the cash, the suspect left the business on foot. No firearms were displayed.
Police said the suspect was wearing:
- A tan baseball-style cap
- Dark shirt with light-colored shirt underneath
- Blue jeans
