Person arrested after committing hit-and-run

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run that occurred October 1.

Authorities say 47-year-old Keith M. Isaacs struck a 16-year-old male on South Jonesville Road.

Once pulled over, Isaccs claimed he had no idea that he had struck someone.¬†Authorities also say that Isaac’s eyes were droopy and his speech was slurred.

Drugs were also found on Issac’s person.

The 16-year-old who was struck was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for hip pain where he was treated and later released.

Isaacs faces preliminary charges of: Operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and possession of methamphetamine.
