FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The woman found stabbed to death inside her New Haven home and the man found shot to death along Fairfield Avenue, both early Wednesday, were in a relationship.

Fort Wayne Police spokesman Michael Joyner confirmed the connection between 30-year-old Jamie Lynn Klein and Anton Javon Moore, also 30, early Monday. Klein and Moore were both found dead minutes apart and 10 miles away from one another Wednesday morning, Klein in her home at 1024 Hartzell Road in central New Haven and Moore in a ditch within the 6600 block of Fairfield Avenue on Fort Wayne south side.

Klein had been stabbed multiple times; Moore was shot to death.

Joyner said detectives from both the New Haven and Fort Wayne police departments are investigating whether their deaths are related. Police have made no arrests in either case.

Joyner called the case – at least the Fort Wayne Police Department’s – “active” and “ongoing.”
